The provision of first aid, including the availability of trained first aiders, is a legal requirement in the UK and a vital aspect of your health and safety compliance as a business. Ensuring employees have been appropriately trained in first aid will provide you the assurance that anyone who becomes injured or unwell in your workplace will receive potentially life-saving assistance. This doesn’t just apply to your employees, as the same assistance should be offered to visitors, contractors or members of the public who are accessing your premises.
Whilst UK legislation states one first aider per 50 people is the minimum requirement, it’s good practice to train a number of employees so that your provision is not disrupted by staff absence.
There are differing levels of first aid training and the most appropriate course for you will depend on the particular hazards that your employees and other persons may be exposed to in your business. If you’re not sure which course may be the best for your staff, then we can provide the expert advice and guidance you need to make the right choice. Regardless of the particular training course you choose, you can be assured that it is fully regulated by First Aid Awards, compliant with HSE requirements, and delivered by a trainer with extensive experience in first aid and health and safety across a broad range of sectors.
By choosing ADC Training Limited, you are gaining the expertise of a highly qualified instructor with broad experience across the adult and higher education sectors, holding Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, and a tremendous passion for learning and teaching. This ensures that your training course will not only impart the necessary knowledge and skills to your staff but will be delivered in an engaging and enjoyable way.
