Spill Kits
Overview
In order to comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002, employers working with bulk quantities of hazardous substances must have appropriate emergency plans in place, as well as arrangements to deal with sudden uncontrolled releases of large quantities of these substances. Employees must therefore be trained in the proper use of workplace spill kits, and be able to interpret COSHH risk assessments and safety data sheets to ensure spillages are dealt with quickly, efficiently & safely.
This half-day course is designed to provide learners with an understanding of the safe use of workplace spillage kits, interpretation of relevant COSHH documentation & the importance of emergency planning & personal protective equipment.
