Racking Inspection
Overview
In addition to detailed annual inspections, completed by a competent racking inspector, it is important that regular inspections of racking systems are completed by competent staff in the workplace to ensure compliance with Regulation 6 of the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. Regular checks help with early identification of any issues with racking systems, permitting maintenance tasks to be completed before problems lead to catastrophic results, such as racking collapse.
This half-day course is designed for individuals working within warehousing or production facilities, where racking systems are in use for the storage of goods, materials & equipment. Learners will be provided with the skills & knowledge to confident inspect racking systems & identify potential issues.
This course can be delivered at your premises for up to 12 learners.
Due to the practical nature of this course, it is essential that racking systems are in place within your workplace & that safe access can be made to these during the practical element of the training course.

Assessment
Assessment of the Racking Inspection Course will be via a combination of a practical racking inspection exercise, and a series of short open & multiple-choice written questions. The written assessment consists of straightforward questions, though learners will be required to have at least a basic knowledge of English.
Learners who complete the course & are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate which is valid for three years.
