Fire Safety
Regulated by Nuco Training & First Aid Awards
Overview
Workplace fires are some of the most devastating hazards to effect a business, with serious implications ranging from serious injuries & fatalities, loss of key assets, products & materials, as well as loss of productivity during post-fire recovery. Businesses have a number of legal responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, among which is the requirement to ensure employees are trained in fire safety awareness, and that a suitable number of additional employees are given additional training as Fire Wardens.
We offer two fire safety training courses, regulated by Nuco Training & First Aid Awards, the Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness providing an ideal introduction to fire safety in the workplace, whilst the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety provides more detailed information, suited to those required to fulfill the role of Fire Warden or Fire Marshal. Both courses are regulated by Ofqual and sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
The Level 1 Award can be completed in a half-day, whilst the Level 2 Award is a one-day course. Either course can be delivered at your premises, or an alternative venue, for up to 16 learners.

Assessment
Certification of the Regulated Fire Safety Courses is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student.
Assessment on both the Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness & the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety will be by a series of written questions. The written assessment consists of straightforward questions, though learners are required to have at least a basic knowledge of English.
Students who complete the course & are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate. The qualification does not have an expiry date, though it is strongly recommended that refresher training is completed after three years to ensure knowledge & skills are kept up to date.
