Construction Phase Plans
Construction Phase Plans
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) requires that a Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan is prepared for all construction projects. If you are the sole contractor working on site, or fulfilling the role of Principal Contractor, then you will be deemed to have control of the project, and therefore will be responsible for the preparation of this plan.
Construction Phase Plans do not necessarily need to be complicated, but need to demonstrate that health & safety has been considered & that proper control measures will be put in place to reduce the risk to operatives working on site, and that there will be co-operation between various contractors to ensure the safety of all.
For larger construction projects, which require notification with the HSE (e.g., more than 500 person days, or 30 working days (with more than 20 people working at the same time), then a more detailed plan will be required.
Regardless of the size of your project, we can support you in the preparation of a sufficiently detailed Construction Phase Plan, ensuring all health & safety considerations for your planned works are fully covered.
