Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (Level 1)

Overview

This half-day course will give learners the knowledge and skills to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation, and how to signpost a person to appropriate professional help. Learners will also be able to recognise and manage stress.

Learners are not expected to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but will gain the necessary knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition, and know where they can go to get help.
