Asbestos Awareness
Overview
Asbestos remains a significant hazard to workers and the general public in the UK, on average contributing to more than 5,000 deaths every year. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 require that employees working in areas where the presence of asbestos-containing materials is confirmed, or suspected, are made aware of the risk associated with exposure.
This half-day course provides learners an awareness of what is asbestos is, where and how it was used in a range of materials, and the devastating effects exposure to the material has on health.
This course can be delivered at your premises, or an alternative venue, for up to 16 learners.
This course is designed to provide an awareness of the hazards of asbestos & does not qualify learners to handle or remove asbestos-containing materials. Please ensure that you have selected the most appropriate training course for your employees requirements.
